Night bus

Go North East night buses are available on Saturday and Sunday mornings, serving Newcastle, Gateshead, Sunderland, Washington and Durham.

All these buses have an ‘N’ in front of the number.

Metro

Our nearest Metro station is at Haymarket, which is around 300 metres away, use the entrance on Northumberland Street.

Buses

We’re lucky that we have some of the best transport connections in the city with lots of routes from the nearby bus interchanges.
Eldon Square bus station, around 500 metres away, is mainly served by Go North East.

Haymarket bus station, is also close at around 450 metres away and is mainly served by Go North East and Arriva North East link, offering lots of local routes to our surrounding areas and the Northumberland coast line.

Central Station’s also got a lot of bus stops for services starting and ending at the above stations.

Trains

The closest railway station is Central station at around 500 metres away.

Look out for bike racks in local streets if pedal power’s your thing.

Cars & parking

As we’re in the city centre, we are easy to get to by all major approach roads, including the A1.

If you’re driving, there are pay and display spots are around locally that become free in the evening and NCP operate a number of car parks close by, spaces can be pre-booked too.

John Dobson Street is open until 11.29pm and Carliol Square (which has pedestrian access onto Pilgrim Street) is open 24hrs.

There is free parking after 5pm in selected Newcastle City Council-owned car parks as part of NE1's Alive After Five scheme. 

Disabled parking

We do not have our own parking facilities, but there are two parking spaces for blue badge holders on Northumberland Road. Most parking meters in the local vicinity are free to blue badge holders.
